From January to July, 9,175 China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains passed through Xinjiang, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year.

Since the beginning of this year, Xinjiang Railway Department has optimized the transportation organization of China-Europe (Central Asia) trains and improved the quality of China-Europe (Central Asia) trains, attracting more and more China-Europe (Central Asia) trains to converge and clear customs in Xinjiang, and the number of trains passing through Alashankou and Horgos railway ports has steadily increased.

Improve customs clearance efficiency. Xinjiang Railway Department closely monitors the optimization of transportation organization and process management, coordinates the use of driving, freight, loading and unloading and other resources, implements integrated command and coordinated supervision of train operations, actively connects with superior dispatching departments, reasonably lays out and adjusts the train operation diagram of Jinghuo Line and China-Kazakhstan, dynamically optimizes the traffic organization of ports, and reduces the waiting time for vehicles to be cleared. And continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with customs, border inspection and other departments, vigorously implement "digital ports" and "paperless customs clearance" system projects, railway express and other businesses, and improve port traffic efficiency.

Strengthen channel capacity building. Xinjiang Railway Department focuses on improving the capacity of ports and rear channels, and vigorously promotes the construction of a second line from Jinghe to Alashankou section of Lanxin Railway and the capacity improvement and renovation project of Alashankou station. In 2023, after the electrification and operation of the second line of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway Jinghe to Alashankou section, it laid the foundation for more China-Europe (Central Asia) trains to run this year.

Innovate the operation mode. In April, the China-Europe trains in the full timetable of the Urumqi-Salerno South Corridor in Xinjiang, China were successfully launched, and the Xinjiang China-Europe trains in the overseas South Corridor across the "two seas" line were successfully operated. In the first seven months, the number of road-rail combined transport trains in China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan increased steadily, with an increase of more than 100%.

In the later stage, the Xinjiang Railway Department will actively promote the expansion and transformation of port stations, improve the port transshipment and traffic capacity, expand the scale of China-Europe trains in the full timetable, and further tap the potential and increase efficiency, so as to promote more China-Europe (Central Asia) trains to enter and exit Xinjiang.
