The China-Europe Express (Shanghai) Premium Train is an international train departing from Shanghai every Saturday with a fixed time, fixed train number and fixed route. The regular operation of the Premium Train provides a new logistics channel option for the entry and exit of high value-added and time-sensitive goods between the two major economies of China and Europe, and will provide high-quality and fast logistics services to more customers in the Yangtze River Delta region.
"After learning about the plan to launch the Premium Train, we set up a special service window for the 'Premium Train' and assigned special personnel to connect with the company to find out the demands of the company. With the help of the Premium Train, we actively cultivate the development of new formats, implement the existing customs measures to support the development of the China-Europe Express in a targeted manner, and ensure the smooth launch of the Premium Train." Wei Wei, deputy chief of the Railway Supervision Section of the Customs of Shanghai Railway Station, said.

At the same time, in response to the postal department's request to carry out international mail transportation through the Premium Train, Shanghai Customs took the initiative to carry out cross-departmental communication and coordination to fully promote the development of new formats.

Since the first China-Europe Express (Shanghai) was launched on September 28, 2021, the development of China-Europe Express (Shanghai) has been steady and progressive. At present, China-Europe Express (Shanghai) has achieved full coverage of China-Europe, China-Russia and China-Asia lines, connecting 12 countries and more than 100 overseas cities and stations.
According to statistics from Shanghai Customs, as of May 31, a total of 213 China-Europe Express (Shanghai) trains have been launched, with a cargo weight of about 200,000 tons, a cargo value of 7.3 billion yuan, and 21,404 TEU containers.
