“Shanghai Port has activated a three-phase operation schedule for pre-holiday cargo rush, holiday sustained terminal service and post-holiday backlog clearance. Terminals will keep 24/7 berthing service running through October 1–7 while adjusting staffing arrangements.”
As the world’s largest container hub, Shanghai Port includes Yangshan and Waigaoqiao terminals. Before the holiday, the port added extra berth windows and extended gate-in hours to handle the pre-Golden Week export cargo surge.
