China Railway Group Zhengzhou Bureau's China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou) train runs exceeded 700

Since the China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou) started running on July 18, 2013, it has been committed to promoting the development of the "Belt and Road" economic zone and striving to build a logistics channel connecting my country's central region with the Eurasian continent. According to the freight ticket and waybill statistics of the Zhengzhou Bureau of the China Railway Group, from January to April this year, the China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou) has operated a total of 529 trains, sending and receiving 47,000 standard containers of goods, an increase of 135% and 113% respectively over the same period last year. As of now (July 18, 2013 to date), the China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou) has operated more than 8,400 trains, reaching 140 cities in 40 countries in Europe.

Since the beginning of this year, with the booming import and export trade, the transportation demand of China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou) has become increasingly strong. Relying on the advantages of Henan's transportation location and railway hub, Zhengzhou Bureau of China Railway Group has continuously optimized the transportation organization of China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou), and optimized the connection process of cargo loading, shunting, vehicle inspection and other processes by accurately allocating locomotives, vehicles, stations and other transportation resources, and minimizing the waiting time of empty vehicles; strengthening the tracking and monitoring of the entire operation of the train, actively communicating and coordinating with customs, border inspection and other departments, and continuously improving the port transportation capacity and efficiency.

In order to improve service quality, the Zhengzhou Bureau of China Railway Group strengthened the joint coordination and cooperation with the Zhengzhou Branch of China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd., accelerated the implementation of railway electronic freight bills, and realized the "one bill system" and "door-to-door" full-chain service of the China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou); strengthened the market research of railway freight customers and freight forwarding companies, and guided relevant companies to develop container consolidation and transportation, cross-border e-commerce parcel business, cold chain goods assembly and other businesses, and provided railway freight customers with flexible and diverse transportation solutions; actively played the role of the China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou) portal website service, promoted the "one-stop" handling of online booking, yard services, container management services and other businesses, and continuously improved the level of convenience.

"We will continue to rely on the construction of the China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou) assembly center, promote the 'rail-road-rail' and 'rail-water-rail' train organization models, and normalize the China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou) return cargo transit and distribution business," said a relevant person in charge of the Zhengzhou Bureau of the China Railway Corporation. "In addition, we will continue to optimize transportation organization, vigorously operate the China-Europe Express (Zhengzhou), build an economic corridor for interconnection, sharing and win-win between the Central Plains and the world, and provide inexhaustible power for promoting the rise of the central region."
