Meyer's Sohn said C Land Logistics' presence in maritime transport made the company attractive to German rivals.

Heiko Voigt, managing director of Meyer's Sohn, said: "This acquisition is a perfect fit for our existing service network and is a perfect complement to our Nordic operations."
The announcement highlights C Land Logistics' business in the "particularly maritime" sector. C Land Logistics operates in three Swedish cities: Bross, Norkoping and Helsingborg, east of Gothenburg. According to the announcement, C-Land executives Jonas Olofsson and Henrik Bengtson will continue to lead the Swedish company, and the integration with Meyer's Sohn "will have few noticeable changes for customers and business partners."

Meyer's Sohn is a family-owned company with around 1,000 logistics employees and traces its roots back to 1897. Since its inception in the 1990s, the company has established 50 offices around the world.
